RAISING SMILES FOR CHRISTMAS 2017
Our 6th consecutive annual appeal
Please scroll down for all of this years details and how to nominate someone in Thanet for a special food parcel and/or gift hamper
Our Raising Smiles for Christmas 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Campaigns were an amazing success, far more than we ever anticipated helping us to be able to be up donating around Thanet until gone 9pm Christmas eve each year, donating special Christmas food parcels, hampers and gifts in Thanet, not forgetting all the trees and decorations rehomed
On top of this we have also for past 5 years delivered Christmas presents in various ages, gift wrapped to the children's Rainbow Ward at the QEQM hospital, Margate with enough for children on Christmas and Boxing Day with 22 beds available.
Huge thanks to all that participated and all your wonderful donations towards the last 5 years, last year donating over 550 gifts and hampers!!
Well done Thanet!
We look forward to an even bigger 2017!

The Shoe Box Appeal
Another idea is we ask people to fill a Shoebox for someone.
This can be adult or child.
Our list contains items for all family members and includes items such a shower gel/shampoo, family games, stationary items, gift for mum and dad as well as sweets, soft toys, hats, scarves etc
Due to the number of elderly people that are now being left alone due to their families not around, lack of mobility and cuts in services we have launched the Elderley Shoe Box's.
The boxes are similar however the childrens games and education materials are replaced with a wind up torch, sensory items, candle and holder etc much like how we did for the single adults last year.
Ideas for filling your Shoebox
Making a Shoebox or Gift bag really does make a dramatic difference to the people who receive them.
- Please use standard Shoe size shoebox (not boots, etc) available from most shoeshops or Gift bag
- Decide whether you would like to support the Elderly or children
- Label your box clearly e.g., Baby / Child 3 - 5 / Teenager / Adult. (Boy / Girl, Male / Female)
